I'm sure that you could reduce that minimum height if you would add an
option to hide the text under the buttons.
The text could be visible while hovering a button or by showing a tooltip.
I suggested this some time ago already, but the only thing that
happend back then was adding the fullscreen mode. :-)
Maybe this time I will have more luck.
