For that, it's currently best to just follow the 1.2 branch in the 
public repository. We have also started updating the dist/changes-1.2.0 
with the changes made since 1.1.

very detailed, but it paints the big picture:

(the header of that section is confusing, the text mentions more than 
just Declarative UI)
