Yeah, I completely agree with you.
I think QtCreator is fantastic for C++ work!
And I've tried many development tools.
I used to be an emacs fan for many years and worked with Visual C++
6.0 & Visual Studio too.
I've also worked with other IDEs: NetBeans, Eclipse, CodeBlocks, BVRDE
and tried many more.
And editors: vi/vim, geany, gedit, Nedit on Unix and notepad2,
programmers notepad, notepad++, PSPad, UltraEdit on Windows.
And QtCreator is the ONE I'm staying with.
Of course it is not perfect (noone is), but for me it is one of the
best, if not the best for C++ work.
Last year I used NetBeans, that it is also a good one, and works well
for C++, but it was a bit slow for parsing projects.
(If you have to work with Java, NetBeans is the way to go.)
So, my congratulations to all QtCreator developers!
Great job, guys!

Agreed! XD
While I may come across as harsh in some of my criticisms, it's only because
Creator is for the most part excellent and this only exacerbates the faults
as I see them.
It's certainly more pleasant to work with than MSVC or XCode
(auto-completion that actually works!!!) and the debugging tools are
excellent.
My gripes are with the project management but the Qt/Nokia guys are very
talented...
