[Qt-creator] image viewer example problem

Hi,

I am new to Qt and trying to run the image viewer example Qt Creator 2.6 ->
Welcome -> Examples -> Image Viewer -> copy project to writable loctation
... etc.

After build and start this is what I see:


Please see attached screenhot (hope it gets through).... , note that no
menus are visible. Can anyone reproduce this? (by the way I am on ubuntu
12.04)
