well, the problem is that triggering the auto completion is not available at all inside pure text documents. The 'Text' snippets are available in all documents where the auto completion works, 'C++' inside cpp-related documents and 'QML' for qml-related documents.

So, sorry again - this won't work with a current Qt Creator.

inside settings dialog (where you're adding the snippets) there's a combo box which specifies for which type of editors you add this snippet. Make sure you add the snippet for 'Text' if you want to have it available for text files.

It is defined for text-files and not for c++-files, but it is only
availabe in c++-files - strange :-((

if I define a snippet, I can trigger it inside a C++- source file.

But I can't trigger the same snippet inside a text file. Is this a bug
or a feature? How do I enable snippets in text files?
