Thanks Oliver
I have the following version installed on Ubuntu 64 bit OS - that is updated
with the current one.
The System is AMD Turion X2
Qt is 4.4..3
The GPU driver is also updated from the repository ATI X1600

On which platform? If on Linux chances are that when upgrading your OpenGL
driver (or use the vendor's closed source driver maybe, if using an open
source one) the problem will be fixed. Having a hardware which supports
pixel buffers and a driver which makes them actually available are
(unluckily) two different things :/
Apart from that, without providing more information (Qt version, platform,
GPU being used, driver version, ...) it's hard to tell what's going wrong.
Apart from the usual "use the latest of greatest of each involved software".
;)
For example I can confirm that the Qt examples "opengl/pbuffers" and
"opengl/pbuffers2" work as expected on Windows XP SP 2, even on a laptop
with some build-in nVidia graphic card...
Cheers, Oliver
