[Qt-interest] QT Creator just erased my MainWindow ui file

I do.

Restore the last version of the file from your version control system. You 
mustn't have lost more than a few hours' of work. And as a suggestion for 
future work: commit more often. Disk space is cheap, your time isn't.

Also, if you have the crash backtrace saved, report the issue, with the 
steps that you took just prior to the crash.
