[Qt-interest] Use Phonon for decoding only?

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this mailinglist and got a question regarding Phonon. I'm 
wondering if it is possible to use phonon to just decode a audio file so 
you can handle the output yourself. The application already has a custom 
audio backend and using phonon instead is not a viable option. I've 
looked at the documentation but there seems to be no obvious solution.

Ideally it would work like this:
Audio file -> Phonon -> Raw PCM -> Custom audio backend

Is this already possible with Phonon? If not, is it planned for the future?
