No its not a "beta", its a mirror of the internal repository used at
QtSoftware every day. So you'll most probably have a master branch that
always has the "latest greates breakage" ;) And at some point before the
release there will be a 4.x.y branch where they stabilize and bugfix for
the upcoming release (at least thats what I recall having read about how
QtSoftware does release on Thiago's blog a while ago). And probably once
its stable enough they'll create tarballs.
