[Qt-interest] [newbie] is it necessary to call method QSqlTableModel.select every time I submit changes?

Hi
Im using a QDataWidgetMapper with a QSqlRelationalTableModel.
Every time I call QDataWidgetMapper.submit (for instance after adding or
deleting a row to the model) do I need to explicitely call
QSqlRelationalTableModel.select() ?
