[Qt-interest] QDataMapper Widget

I really like the potential of the QDataMapper widget but I've found
it's behavior to be flakey especially when connecting it to SQLIte
based models.  For some reason I've found it "disconnects" from the
model without warning.  Ie: mapper->currentIndex() returns -1.  I've
read all the documentation, examples and have written a bunch of toy
programs but I still can't figure out what causes this.  Can anyone
offer any advice or similar experiences with QDataMapperWidget?
