Besides, I think it is totally ridiculous to have the *same* UI for desktop and the web, let alone the web! For me this sounds like more marketing fuzz... who *wants*  to have the same crappy UI on a desktop as the mobile UI, besides managers which are totally happy when they can read their email on their Blackberry and think their crappy web mail reader is the non-plus-ultra application? ;)

It is nice off course to have the same core API such as Qt embedded, so when you want to develop embedded software, you have a familiar and nice Qt API in front of you - with all the limitations (smalls screens) and extensions (touch screen :) of such devices. But please, don't try to port such applications 1:1 on the desktop (or even worse, into the web browser ;)
