We have not, cannot and will not maintain compatibility with old tools across
the duration of the entire major series (Qt 4.x). Trying to support the same
things now (2010) that we supported when in 2005 when Qt 4.0 came out is
infeasible.
I'm not sure if you meant that. Can you clarify?
