I don't want to put any words in Thiago's mouth (as the saying goes) -
I'll let him reply for that.

But I do want to say that in my opinion, Thiago Macieira is one of the
most helpful, knowledgeable and understanding people on this list
(with regards to Qt). I would think that most people that lurk on this
list would take any email response from Thiago and carefully consider
it to be correct.

Back on topic though, I do find that KDE 4 or Qt 4 or X11 is slow in
some cases, and I really dont know what should be blamed. Any kind of
performance improvements in the Qt X11 back-end would of course be
highly welcomed.
