Sure, I never doubted that. The reply just reminded me of the
application developer's view ("if its slow there, we do it ourself"),
which simply does not work here.
Didn't mean to be offensive, sorry.

Hmm, I'll have a look at those QT-4.7 tarballs floating arround,
however I didn't find any tools to measure performance for real-world
secenarious, like how long it takes to repaint a complete widget
hirarchy or something like that.
