Thanks a lot for the clarification. I think we can switch to following
the 4.7 branch (rather than 4.7-stable) as we only care about Windows
and Mac.

I have another question, however. If bugs in the bug tracker are marked
as fixed in 4.8, where do the changes end up? For an example, see
QTBUG-12495, which is something we fairly urgently need. The fix is in
commit 4b618e48c909fcc5665e9d60645023c48b2ffb43 which I see is in
'staging' at the moment - where does that go next? Into the master
branch?
