All:

  Not a chance in hell of (a); he's almost-certainly doing exactly
  what the Nokia Board wants him to do; they've been trying to
  climb in bed with Microsoft for a long time now. As evidence,
  look at 1) how little support they give to tools that allow Macintosh
  computers to connect to Nokia phones 2) the agreement with
  Microsoft to bring to the Symbian phones tools that can access
  Microsoft document formats. Sure, nothing much may have come
  of that second effort, but the intent was there.

  With regard to (b), that all depends on how badly shafted the
  Nokia stockholders feel about this all-but-acquisition for which
  they're getting no money. I'd say there's actually fairly good
  odds that *SOMEONE* with standing will try to sue. They won't
  get far, but they'll try.
