[Qt-interest] VideoPlayBack Windows best way ?

Hi
 
i want to use videoplayback under windows with qt.
I used more than 1 and a half year ago a phonon media widget to play videos.
Now i have the situation that i need to create a little bit more complex video
player.
Basically it is a background image, a videowidget, some overlaywidgets.
 
I thought on using graphicsview but found only threads that said "high cpu
usage, bad scaling, no z ordering"
 
i also heard about qtmultimediakit but in the documentation it is always part of
qtmobility but i am not on a smartphone but on windows.
 
So what is currently the way to play videos, mp3files on a best platform
independent way with qt and graphicsview.
Is it possible ?
 
Or should i forgot all the ideas
