[Qt-interest] New in to Qt. Any advice welcome.

The best you can do is to start helping out with a KDE application. Find 
one of the smaller ones (don't start with KMail or KOffice), find a bug 
report for it and fix it. Or implement a feature request.

Let the other devs know you are new to Qt. If you provide useful code, 
you will get a lot of help on the KDE lists. But code first, then ask 
for help with specific problems :)
