[Qt-mobility-feedback] location api (maps/geocoding/poi/navigation)

I see that the mapping, navigation, and landmarks API has recently
landed in the location API.  It is my understanding that this API is not
considered stable and is subject to change.  When is this API going to
be stable?  What is the anticipated release timeline for this API?  

I'm interested in creating a backend to be exported via
QGeoServiceProviderFactory.  Is the preferred mechanism for submitting
patches a merge request in gitorious?
