I saw a video of your talk at Camp KDE and agree with many of the points you
made.

My impression was that the lack of a bundled OSM plugin was a political
issue, so once again I agree, though there's probably nothing wrong with
the existing implementations. One of the things the an OSM plugin is
supposed to do, however, is to limit the number of concurrent requests to
the server, and I'm not sure that they do that. (I have a plugin that does.)
