[Releasing] Qt 4.8.2

Hi All,

We found a last minute issue in packaging of the mac debug libraries, which we naturally want to fix before releasing.

Since Thursday is a bank holiday at least in Finland, we will postpone the official release until Tuesday 22nd May.

Content of the release is intended to stay the same.

Our testing of 4.8.2 has progressed well, and the sha1 mentioned below will be the content of the Qt 4.8.2 release.

Enclosed is the final changes file.

Official releasing the package will happen after the distribution and communications items are all sorted out. Current target date is 15th May.

Hi all,

Qt 4.8.2 sha1 is now on commit f1a55ad65337bb614c3dd6e723554bded72a28e4 ”docs: more tweaks to offline style”.
If you are aware of problems with that sha1 please send email to releasing at qt-project.org<mailto:releasing at qt-project.org> mailing list.

Please note that we are making the 4.8 patch release directly from 4.8 branch. So we do not cherry pick anything, getting a new fix in means we take all that are in by that point in time. It will also take about 2 weeks from content freeze to actual release due to SDK related work.
