(5:33:20 PM) thiago: where do we stand on mingw64?
(5:33:49 PM) ZapB: no strong opinion from me
(5:34:05 PM) fkleint: things is, we don;t have a gdb that can debug it with
Qt Creator yet
(5:34:10 PM) fkleint: 64bit gdb
(5:34:13 PM) fkleint: it is research
(5:34:21 PM) fkleint: (with Python, etc)
I tested just now with the following mingwbuilds x64 GCC 4.8.0 (and GDB
with Python) release:
http://heanet.dl.sourceforge.net/project/mingwbuilds/host-windows/releases/4.8.0/64-bit/threads-win32/seh/x64-4.8.0-release-win32-seh-rev1.7z
using this mingwbuilds Qt/QtCreator:
http://heanet.dl.sourceforge.net/project/mingwbuilds/external-binary-packages/Qt-Builds/x64-Qt-5.0.2%2Bqtcreator-2.7.0-%28gcc-4.8.0-seh-rev1%29.7z
...and debugging worked to a fairly good extent (including pretty
printers), for full disclosure, the initial debugging sessions after
launching QtCreator worked perfectly, but in subsequent sessions, the
breakpoints were all messed up. I suspect this has more to do with
QtCreator than GDB though and a restart always allowed another session.
Best regards,
Ray.
