I'll do my best to review it.

I delegated that because I had no time. Therefore, I will abide by the 
decisions of whoever did review it.

I would still like it work for the Mac HighDPI functionality and work with 
QFile. I don't want a class in QtCore that can't be used with other QtCore 
classes directly.

And if it was an IRC conclusion, he could have said "we came to the conclusion 
that creating old/5.0 is a good idea".
