to add my color to the bikeshed, i find both storage and drive just
fine. or disk, to add another one. it is entirely irrelevant that it can
produce information about virtual devices - it's not the purpose of this
class, and i doubt anybody would be confused by such a detail.
volume, otoh, is ambiguous and quite far-fetched from the perspective of
the typical person. well, in fact, storage isn't exactly an obvious
choice, either.
