Meeting minutes from Qt Release Team meeting 30th August 2016


Qt 5.8.0 Alpha status:

- First Alpha src packages created. Unfortunately some critical issues found.

- After qt5.git update (https://codereview.qt-project.org/#/c/169514/) we should have mandatory content in place

--> We will release Qt 5.8.0 Alpha as soon as possible after qt5.git integration succeed in '5.8' (if nothing really serious found during testing)


Qt 5.6.2 status:

- Branching ongoing. Final downmerge from '5.6' to '5.6.2' will happen Wed 31st August 2016

- Target to create new snapshot for testing soon

- Open 5.6.2 blockers: https://bugreports.qt.io/issues/?filter=17829

   * Situation seems to be pretty good at the moment so we should be able to release Qt 5.6.2 within coming weeks


Let's skip Tue 6th September & have new meeting after two weeks ( Tue 13.9.2016 ) 16:00 CET
