Meeting minutes from Qt Release Team meeting Tue 3rd September 2019

Qt 5.13.1:
- Late blocker found -> we had to delay the release to get the fix in
- Fix is now in & packaging ongoing
   * We should have packages in place tomorrow.
- We will release these packages as Qt 5.13.1 after all packages are available & needed tests are done.
   * Let's see if we can release Qt 5.13.1 finally tomorrow or later this week

Qt 5.12.5:
- First snapshot published
- Blocker list empty but final content isn't in place yet; couple of changes files still missing '+2'
   * see https://codereview.qt-project.org/q/message:%2522Add+changes+file+for+Qt+5.12.5%2522+status:open
- Target is to get the release out during this week
   * It will be tight to get all things done early enough for that

Qt 5.14.0:
- Alpha preparations ongoing
   * Few issues open in Alpha blocker list, see https://bugreports.qt.io/issues/?filter=21431
   * Packaging confs for new modules needs to be finalized
- Target is to create Alpha candidate packages immediately when all needed fixes are in & qt5.git integration done
--> Most probably Alpha release can't be done during this week but let's make sure it will go out latest next week

[17:11:02] <jaheikki3_> That's all about 5.12.5 at this time. Any comments or questions?
[17:11:58] <vladimir-m> can someone please verify if https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-76915 was merged in 5.13.x ? I had not time to see. Jukka said it is in 5.12.5 but not in 5.12.4
[17:12:53] <jaheikki3_> vladimir-m: Yes, that should be fixed in 5.13.1
[17:13:11] <vladimir-m> nice! this would be great!

[17:15:56] <jaheikki3_> That's all about 5.14 status at this time. Any comments or questions?
[17:16:18] <carewolf> the final merge from the soft-branch was never performed on qtwebengine. What should we do about that, and could other modules be missing the final merge?
[17:17:57] <jaheikki3_> carewolf: hmm, I thought kaoikarinen checked that already. I need to discuss with him tomorrow
[17:18:19] <carewolf> great, otherwise it 5.14 work on mac and windows :P
[17:18:29] <carewolf> wont work
[17:19:02] <jaheikki3_> carewolf: can we just do it again from 'dev' to '5.14' or is there already something in qtwe which shouldn't go in 5.14?
[17:19:37] <carewolf> I'll check but I don't think so
[17:20:04] <carewolf> no everything before the bumb version should be fine.
[17:20:10] <carewolf> and there is nothing after
[17:20:27] <jaheikki3_> Ok, thanks. I'll make sure that will be fixed tomorrow
[17:20:38] <carewolf> thanks
