No one has expressed any kind of fondness to the current change, so it looks
like we need to take action.
I think it's much simpler and safe to just revert it. While Olivier's patch is
a nice way to try and fix something, just because it's different from Qt 4 it
could potentially introduce unexpected consequences. Therefore, I'll upload
now a patch to revert the change.
I will not upload patch to revert the adaptations though. Maintainers of
modules who aren't sure about whether they should stay, feel free to revert
them yourselves.
