Subject: [Development] Nominating Vladimir Belyavsky as Qt Project approver
Hello World,
I’d like to nominate Vladimir Belyavsky as approver in the Qt Project.
Vladimir has made a large number of contributions [1], provided substantial and high-quality reviews [2], and reported and given comments to plenty of tickets in Jira, covering a wide range of topics.

After starting to contribute in 2022, Vladimir made it into the top contributor lists in both 2023 and 2024:

Based on what I have seen and how I experience collaborating with him, I trust that Vladimir will use his approver privileges responsibly and in the best interest of the Qt Project.
Disclaimer: I don’t know Vladimir in real life; he lives in Minsk. Given the state of the world, I respect that this might be a cause for concern. He has been using Qt for ~20 years, and his employer for the last 11 years has been Rakuten Viber, which has its HQ in Luxemburg, where he is using Qt professionally as a Team Lead. Vladimir has been very responsive to me when I asked some relevant questions over email. If you want to raise objection and don’t want to do so on a public channel, feel free to do so to me directly.
Volker
