Hi,

I have no idea, if it's anything related.
But, have a look at 
https://slackbuilds.org/slackbuilds/14.2/development/qbs/qbs.SlackBuild

That's a script I use to build qbs for Linux.
Later, this qbs is used when building Qt Creator.

The important part here is the following patch:
https://slackbuilds.org/slackbuilds/14.2/development/qbs/corelib-tools.pri.patch

Without this patch, Qt Creator will not build against the prebuilt qbs.
