Considder yourself corrected.
You do *not* need a commercial licence anymore, since Qt is available
under LGPL. It does of course help, for instance for getting good
support. A developpers time may be too valuable to spend searching for
ansers on public forums an mailinglists, but it is no issue at all for
those $0,99 priced nifty apps created as a hobby...
