On win7 debug build, this example asseerts: 'ASSERT: "!item.isNull()" in file data\qatomicvalue.cpp, line 194.'  Looks like the crash is not platform specific.

I know that traffikanten blocked the Oslo office's ip address a couple of years ago due to many people running this app at the same time. They thought we were abusing their server.

It does look like that URL is obsolete now though -- I tried from outside the Oslo office last night and got the same error.
